Senior Instructor
Des began Karate at an early age and has also tried other martial arts, such as Tae Kwon Do. However, karate was always his main passion.
Des first met our chief instructor, Saj Desilva, through the teachings of the now retired Rich Condon (5th Dan). When the North Kent Karate club was first set up, Saj asked Des to become an instructor.
Des excels in teaching students of all ages, both new and experienced. He is dedicated and resilient in his teaching style, yet his light hearted humour shines through.
Des regularly trains with Sensei Simon Kidd at the Brentwood Hombu (Central Kazan Kai Dojo). He also continues to compete nationally with aspirations to win further titles.
